Take Charge of Your Health

MedHealthInsurance continually strives to provide the consumer with the best and most up-to-date health insurance information. But there are also several resources outside our site that you might find helpful.

We recommend checking out Lerner's Consumer Guide to Health Care: How to Get the Best Health Care for Less by Paul Lerner and Julie Lerner (2001). Health insurance options are described, but of particular interest are the tips about how to prepare for hospital stays and aging.

Of interest to mothers is Mom to Mom Chat, a site for moms, by moms. Find support, encouragement, articles, discussion boards, business opportunties, resources, chat room, link and flyer exchanges. A friendly place to meet for ALL moms. Stepmoms, Grandmoms, work-at-home moms, divorced moms, charitable moms, moms of special needs kids, and more can find other moms to chat with, meet new friends, find work-at-home ideas, recipes, places for moms to shop, share ideas and more.

We'll soon be adding downloadable PDFs of valuable information and checklists, so you can fill out charts related to your own needs and have a ready list of things to discuss with your doctor. It's up to you to take charge of your health and health insurance, but we want to provide you with the tools you need to get the care you want. These and other resources will be available in the near future, so bookmark this page now and please come back soon.
