With the goal of being Southwest Missouri’s health plan of choice for employees and individuals, Cox strives to maintain excellence in risk management, customer service, control of fixed costs, and effective decision making.  To meet these goals, Cox provides a variety of options with different co-payments and deductibles:

  • Individual Plans – Available for self-employed individuals, people interested in more affordable dependant coverage, and for children.  These plans offer high quality coverage at affordable prices.
  • Group Plans – Customizable based on budget and employee needs; available for both HMO and PPO
  • Kids First – a plan formed especially for children, with coverage for children of six months to 18 years in age.

Cox Members may choose from the following plans:

  • Cox Health Plans PPO – PPO options allow members to visit in-network providers or out of network providers, allowing for great flexibility.  Service provided by out of network providers, however, will be more expensive.
  • Cox Health Plans HMO – HMO plans provide comprehensive coverage for in-network providers.  Coverage for specialists is provided when the primary physician gives a referral.
  • Out Of Area (PHCS) – By partnering with Private Health Care Systems (PHCS), Cox is able to provide service to people outside of their coverage area.  This allows for access to the leading PPO network in the country, including 450,000 providers and 4,000 facilities nationwide.
