Cleveland's mayor recently endorsed a Medical Mart for the city, which would offer permanent showrooms for the latest in healthcare products and technology. A new convention center would be crafted for this Mart, and would help consumers stay up on advances in the industry and help them in making informed decisions. The CTSA, or Clinical and Translation Science Awards, gave $64 million in 2007 to Cleveland medical centers, in hopes of providing full service and integrated clinical translational research capability within the Cleveland community that will improve the health of patients in Northeast Ohio through patient-based research.
