CareFirst BCBS Health Plans for Individuals and Families
BlueChoice, Open Access HMO: Members choose
a doctor from the network. The plan covers preventive care, routine exams, well-child
immunizations, discount dental program, hospitalization, and a three-tier
prescription plan are included.
BluePreferred, Select Preferred PPO: This plan covers routine
exams, catastrophic coverage and immunizations. The BlueCard pays
for coverage out-of-state.
Personal Comp: Members pay for some of the care they receive.
Covered are preventive exams, surgery/hospitalization, and adult/child
wellness.
Blue Access HSA plan: Combined with a Health Savings Account,
this plan offers traditional medical coverage, including well-visits
and preventive treatments.
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield also offers consumers
access to Blue Vision, a low-cost vision plan. For more information
