Individual and Family Plans Offered by BCBS of Michigan

  • Individual Care Blue PPO: This plan covers basic hospitalization and emergency care at a 70% co-insurance rate. Prenatal care for pregnant women is not covered, though delivery is. Prescription drugs are paid at 50%.
  • Blue Cross Traditional: With five deductible choices as well as Value Blue and Young adult Blue (for adults 19-25), this plan is one of the more flexible health plans available. It covers hospitalization and emergency treatment.
  • Blue Preferred PPO: In-patient and outpatient hospital care, as well as surgical and emergency service, is available with this plan. It offers the same basic services as the traditional plan, but with the added benefit of physician choice.
  • Flexible Blue HSA: This high-deductible health plan complements a Health Savings Account. Preventive services are emphasized, although the plan works like a PPO.
